GREENACRES FL July 30 2017
A West Palm Beach man was arrested Tuesday after he attacked a security guard, then brawled with three Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies, according to an arrest report.
Jason Darrell Rohee, 39, is facing two counts of battery on an officer and one count each of felony battery and resisting an officer with violence.
Rohee was being held without bond at the Palm Beach County Jail on Friday morning because Tuesday’s incident violated the terms of his release after he was arrested July 5 for punching a female nurse at a mental-health facility.
Rohee was allegedly unprovoked when he shoved and slapped an armed security guard Tuesday morning in the Victoria Woods community off Summit Boulevard just east of Greenacres.
After he was placed in handcuffs, Rohee allegedly turned and violently kicked one deputy in the leg and head-butted another in the mouth, the report said. Rohee also attempted to bite a deputy while they tried to subdue him. Three deputies required medical attention on scene but were not taken to a hospital, the report said.
Rohee’s jail mugshot shows abrasions to his forehead and face. The report states that Rohee had a black left eye prior to his encounter with deputies. He was taken to Wellington Medical Center.
Court records show that Rohee has been arrested on charges of battering or assaulting law enforcement officers several times. He was sentenced to more than four months in jail in 2010 after he allegedly splashed a PBSO deputy with urine while he was incarcerated at the county jail.
Rohee also was convicted of throwing bodily fluids at Santa Rosa County jail staffers in May 2015 and sentenced to nearly two years in jail.
