Shooting At Lexington's Fayette Mall

LEXINGTON, Ky. July 24 2017 Lexington Police say one person was shot outside of Fayette Mall Saturday night shortly before 8 p.m.
It happened outside of Dillard's. Police say the 24 year old victim was walking through the parking lot when a dark colored passenger car approached him. They say after a brief exchange of words, someone in the passenger car opened fire, hitting the victim.
Police say one victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooter has not been taken into custody at this time, but Lexington Police say they do have a good description of them.
The shooting prompted a large police presence outside of the mall.
Witnesses tell LEX 18 they heard several shots before seeing multiple cars speed away from the scene. Other shoppers inside the mall reported seeing security guards running towards the scene. Bullet holes and shattered windows were visible on several cars in the parking lot.
Investigators say it appears the victim and shooter know each other and that the shooting was not random.
The investigation into the shooting continues at this time.
