ST. LOUIS MO June 9 2017— A man is suing a St. Louis hospital and security guards, citing alleged assault, battery and unlawful imprisonment.
Christopher Happel filed a complaint on May 26 in the St. Louis Circuit Court against BJH Health System and Does 1-6, alleging that they violated plaintiff's constitutional rights.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 7, as a direct result of defendants' conduct, the plaintiff sustained injuries to his face, neck, back and wrist. He has suffered pain and suffering, mental anguish, embarrassment and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the security guards allegedly subjected him to outrageous punishment by slamming his face into the wall, handcuffed him too tightly and placed their knees on his neck and back.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $25,000, plus punitive damages, costs of this suit, interest and all further relief as the Court deems just and proper. He is represented by Kevin J. Kasper and Ryan P. Schellert of Kasper Law Firm LLC in St. Charles.
