Goodwill robber flees into the arms of waiting police

Goodwill Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

MARIETTA, GA May 24 2017-- Police in Cobb County arrested a man in connection to a robbery and assault at a Goodwill store in Marietta, police said. The incident occurred at the store in the 2400 block of Shallowford Road.
Bradley John Tahlser, 41, of Marietta is accused of entering the store and coming up to a female employee while she was ringing up a customer at the cash register, according to a Cobb police news release.
When the worker opened the cash register, Tahlser allegedly sprayed what is believed to be pepper spray in the woman's face.
The perpetrator then fled out of the door, police said. Coincidentally, law enforcement officers from Precinct 4 happened to be just outside the business setting up a perimeter. Tahlser was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, where he is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. Law enforcement officials said that Tahlser is also a suspect in armed robberies committed in Woodstock and Douglasville.
The female employee of Goodwill who was pepper-sprayed was treated at the scene, police said.
