Bloomington  IN April 24 2017 Indiana State Excise Police officers arrested or cited 151 people on 316 charges in Bloomington during Little 500 festivities, a weekend of bicycle races known for student partying.
The officers cited or arrested 114 minors, 36 adults and one juvenile, according to an Excise Police press release.
The most common charges were for fake IDs and underage drinking, police said. Other charges included drug violations, resisting arrest and providing alcohol to minor.
Officials said arrests were down from last year during the same time when excise officers arrested 179.
During a Thursday night traffic stop that ended with four people being arrested, a 26-year-old Bloomington man was charged with a felony for obliterating identification marks on a handgun, as well as possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of marijuana oil, and possession of paraphernalia.
On Friday night, a 22-year-old Medora man was arrested following a brief pursuit after he stole a bottle of tequila from a grocery store and tried to run from Excise officers who witnessed the theft.
Authorities are also investigating reports of two attempted abductions that happened during Little 500 weekend.
