Cape Town security officer killed during robbery

CAPE TOWN S.A. April 5 2017 – A security guard has been shot and killed during the robbery of a cigarette vehicle in Hanover Park.
The incident occurred in Downberg Road shortly after 7am on Monday morning.
Several suspects are on the run after attacking the vehicle's security official.
The police's Andre Traut said: “The circumstances surrounding a murder and robbery case are being investigated by police. The suspects fled with two firearms and the cigarettes. They are yet to be arrested.”
Meanwhile, a security guard was killed and another wounded in a cash heist in Athlone on Sunday.
An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

While police are searching for suspects, SBV Services has offered R1 million rand reward for information which could lead to arrests.
