St. Petersburg Police Arrest Security Guard Impersonator

St. Petersburg FL March 9 2017 Police received a tip that 28 year-old Hai (Harry) Hoang was illegally posing as a security guard.
After a two month investigation, Tuesday, March 7, police arrested Hoang and charged him with false personation of a watchman (felony), carrying a weapon while committing a felony and carrying a firearm while committing a felony.
The press release from St. Petersburg Police Department stated that Hoang has none of the necessary licenses required to work as a security guard.
Investigators found dozens of police radios, uniforms, vests, rank insignias, badges, fake weapons, real weapons, Tasers, etc. in the mobile home he shares with his parents at 3503 58th Avenue North.
Police would like to speak with any business that hired Hoang for security purposes, thinking he was legitimate security.
Investigators also have reason to believe he may have falsely represented himself as a law enforcement officer.
Any citizen that believes they were stopped by Hoang is being asked to contact SPPD.
Hoang was released on $150,000 bail from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
