Santa Ana security officer shot breaking up fight

SANTA ANA CA March 27 2017 – A 27-year-old security guard who apparently was trying to break up a fight in a restaurant parking lot suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound early Sunday morning, police said.
At 2:10 a.m., police received calls of a shooting at Spoons Grill & Bar in the 2600 block of South Hotel Terrace, Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.
The security guard was struck once in the lower torso, Bertagna said.
The shooter fled, possibly in a silver Toyota Tundra.

One of the men in the fight stayed but was too intoxicated to give police any information, Bertagna said. Anyone with information was asked to call Santa Ana police at 714-834-4211.
