Milford police charge woman with shoplifting

MILFORD PA March 26 2017 — Patricia Jones, 50 of MIlford, was arrested March 16 for two counts of shoplifting, according to Det. Timothy Maloney.
The Milford Police Department Patrol Division first responded to Redner’s Market March 16 at 8:27 p.m. after an alleged shoplifting incident occurred. An investigation revealed that the store manager allegedly observed the suspect, Jones, shoplift several items from the store by placing the items into a grovery bag of another customer before exiting the store. Patrol officers made contact with Jones and she was taken into custody without incident.
As officers were on scene at Redner’s Market, they were approached by an employee of Cypress Wine and Spirits located next to Redner’s Market. The employee advised that Jones had allegedly attempted to shoplift from their business prior to her going into Redner’s, but she was confronted by store management and the merchandise was recovered.

Jones was transported to Milford Police Department where she was issued two criminal summons for shoplifting under $1,500. She was given an arraignment date in Justice of the Peace Court 6 for April 11 at 9 a.m.
