NASHVILLE, TN Feb 10 2017— An East Nashville man told police he tried to set Lower Broadway's Acme Feed & Seed alight because a bouncer touched his brother inappropriately while throwing him out of the bar earlier in the week.
Metro Police say Christopher Rooker, 27, broke the front door of Acme Feed & Seed, a bar at the corner of First Avenue and Broadway, early Tuesday morning using a claw hammer — for his trouble, he received serious lacerations from the glass on his hands and arms.
Investigators say surveillance video shows him making a beeline for the bar, where he pours liquor on to the floor and bar itself and attempts to set it aflame using a cigarette lighter.
He was not successful.
Rooker was taken to Meharry-General Hospital for his lacerations and told police the attempted arson was in retaliation for "an incident several days prior" in which his brother was kicked out of the bar and apparently manhandled in a way that he did not appreciate.

Rooker is charged with burglary and two counts of attempted aggravated arson. He is free on a $75,000 bond
