Intoxicated woman steals security officer's golf cart

West Palm Beach FL

Police were called to the 100 block of Clematis Street to investigate a disturbance.
Upon arrival, police saw a woman in handcuffs with security officers.
A security officer explained that the woman attempted to drive away in his golf cart.
She ignored his commands to get off the cart and drove over his foot.
He was assisted by other security officers in the area in subduing the woman.
The security officer told police that the woman was intoxicated, had slurred speech and was screaming in public.
The woman was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she continued her disruptive ways, yelling and kicking on the cell door.
She then requested medical attention, claiming she was having an anxiety attack.
Medics determined the woman was not in need of a hospital, and the 24-year-old Hobe Sound woman was taken to the county jail.
Police did not identify the woman in their media release.
