Gouverneur crossing guard hit-car flees scene

Gouverneur NY Jan 19 2017 
A 45 year old Gouverneur man is accused of hitting a school crossing guard and leaving the scene of the accident.
Village police arrested Bill Hiscock at his home on Route 11 on January 6.
He's charged with leaving the scene of personal injury accident, failure to comply with lawful order flag person, failure to keep right and operating without insurance.
He was issued traffic summonses as the result of an investigation of a January 5, 2017 hit and run pedestrian incident on East Barney Street involving a school crossing guard.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., while students were being dismissed from Gouverneur High School, Hiscock allegedly disregarded the crossing guard’s direction and struck her in the hip as he drove by and left the scene.
Police said Hiscock he refused to provide vehicle insurance information.
The school crossing guard suffered minor injury.

Hiscock’s traffic summonses are returnable to the Gouverneur Town Court.
