A security patrol officer who stopped to question several “taggers” in the Lincoln Heights section came under gunfire according to the LAPD.
Two men were tagging a wall at a parking lot near the intersection of Avenue 18 and Pasadena Avenue when the security officer confronted them shortly before 6 a.m., said Sgt. Washington with LAPD’s Hollenbeck Division.
After exchanging a few words, the suspects fired two or three shots at the security guard as he drove off, Washington said. The bullets missed the security guard, who was not injured.
The suspects, two male Latinos, remain at large but police are still investigating.
