Providence club security bouncer stabbed privateofficer.com

PROVIDENCE, R.I. Dec 1 2016-- The bouncer at Tropicana Bar in the Valley neighborhood was stabbed in a fight there late Friday night.
A few minutes after police were called about the stabbing, they found the suspect a few blocks away, where he'd been hit by a car.
Both suspect and victim ended up being treated at Rhode Island Hospital.
Christian Guzman, 44, told police he was working security at the bar on 1040 Chalkstone Ave. when he got into an altercation with another man a few minutes before 11:30 p.m., according to a police report. Guzman said he used pepper spray on the man, who stabbed him twice in the abdomen.
Guzman left for the hospital before police arrived, but as police were investigating the scene, they were called about a man hit by a car on Regent Avenue, the report said. Eliu Figueroa, 34, was there, and also had minor injuries from pepper spray in his face, the report said.
Guzman underwent surgery at the hospital, where he identified Figueroa as the suspect, according to police. Figueroa was charged with felony assault, said Maj. Oscar Perez.
