Louisville KY Dec 2 2016 A man accused of shoplifting multiple times from Dillard's was arrested Tuesday after making off with $8,000 worth of suits, according to an arrest citation.
Louisville resident Stephen O. Hogue, 57, was arrested around 1 a.m. Tuesday while attempting another heist at the Dillard's department store on Shelbyville Road, the report said. Hogue is charged with one count of shoplifting property valued between $500 and $10,000 and one count of shoplifting property valued under $500.
According to the arrest citation, Hogue was already banned from Dillard's due to previous shoplifting offenses when he entered the store Nov. 12. Store employees saw Hogue grab an armful of men's suits and slacks and run out of the store. He drove away before security could catch him. The incident was also caught on security cameras. Police identified Hogue's license plate number from the tapes.
Hogue stole four Marx suits, one Dan Cremiux Signature suit and five pairs of Ted Baker slacks, police said. The total value of the items was $8,145.
On Tuesday, Hogue returned to Dillard's and attempted to steal more items but was caught as he fled the scene.
Hogue remains in custody in the Louisville jail on a $1,000 bond.
