DARTMOUTH MA Dec 19 2016  - Police arrested a Fall River man Tuesday on numerous charges, including shoplifting and several motor vehicle offenses.
At approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday, police say Justin Tunney-Lassiter, 29, of Hamlet Street in Fall River fled Target where he was a shoplifting suspect. He fled in a 2010 Dodge Caliber.
After responding, officers located the suspect and attempted to stop his vehicle on Faunce Corner Road. The suspect refused to stop and turned into the Dartmouth Mall parking lot, according to police.
While in the parking lot, police said the suspect struck a pedestrian, as well as several vehicles, before officers stopped following him.
About an hour later, police said the same suspect, who was subsequently identified as Tunney-Lassiter, was involved in an incident in Westport at which time he was arrested.
As a result of the shoplifting and police chase in Dartmouth, Tunney-Lassiter faces the charges, police said.
