Tupelo police capture fugitive shoplifter privateofficer.com

TUPELO, Miss. Nov 6 2016 A wanted fugitive was captured by police after they chased him down for a suspected shoplifting.
Tupelo police were notified about a shoplifting incident at JC Penny’s at the Mall at Barnes Crossing.
When they tried talking to the person involved he fled and police gave chase and finally caught up with Jeremy J. Hunter, 23, of Okolona. He was quickly captured.
During the investigation, police say Hunter had three outstanding felony arrest warrants for shoplifting and nine outstanding misdemeanor warrants for shoplifting. All warrants were from the City of Tupelo.
Hunter was charged with felony shoplifting related to theft of items from JC Penny’s shortly before the foot chase began. Exactly $2,700 in stolen merchandise were recovered at the time of Hunter’s arrest.

He is currently out on bond from additional felony shoplifting charges. Police are requesting that this Circuit Court bond be revoked in the light of additional charges and warrants.
