HARRIS COUNTY, Texas Nov 8 2016– Deputies are searching for a white minivan after a game room security officer was shot and killed Sunday night.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, it happened at 8:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Dale Street in north Harris County.
At that time, the security officer saw a man coming up to the door with a weapon, deputies said. The security officer tried to lock the door, but the suspect kicked it in.
Deputies said a struggle ensued, and then the suspect fired three shots killing the security officer.
He died at the scene, deputies said.
Deputies said there were 35-40 people inside the game room at the time, and no other injuries were reported.
It doesn’t appear the suspect got away with anything. Deputies said the suspect fled in a white minivan, struck the gate at the exit and ripped off a sliding door of the van.
Deputies are calling the business an illegal gaming room and are now investigating the owners.
