GLENS FALLS NY Nov 3 2016 — A Fort Edward man was jailed Monday after he allegedly stole a badge from a security officer at Glens Falls Hospital and tried to use it to get through a locked door, police said.
Robert C. Murat-Hinton, 30, was charged with second-degree robbery, a felony, and misdemeanor criminal mischief for allegedly taking the badge by force from officer and trying to access an area that he was not supposed to access, police said.
Murat-Hinton was a patient in the hospital at the time.
He was also charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief for allegedly damaging hospital property, arraigned in City Court and sent to Warren County Jail for lack of bail.
Glens Falls Police officers John Norton and Zack Flewelling made the arrest.
