San Diego County CA Oct 28 2016 Two violent fugitives from North Carolina were arrested at the Harrah’s casino in Valley Center Wednesday, authorities said.
Jonathan Richardson, 27, and Erin Hogsed, 20, were taken into custody without a struggle. The two were wanted on suspicion of kidnapping, armed robbery and vehicle theft. Richardson was considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
Transylvania County sheriff’s officials collected information that led them to advise local authorities that the pair may have headed to San Diego County, sheriff’s officials in San Diego said.
A San Diego sheriff’s deputy spotted a stolen vehicle tied to the East Coast fugitives in a parking structure at the Harrah’s Resort Southern California off Valley Center Road about 10:30 a.m.
Valley Center deputies and members of the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force, along with casino security personnel, arrested the couple. They were booked into Vista jail on the warrants from North Carolina.
