Three Unlicensed Security Officers Incidents in TN

Maurice Steele
Memphis TN. Oct 21 2016 Police has said that there have been three separate incidents of men working as security guards and carrying firearms without being licensed.
In two of the incidents, the men are accused of using force against others including shooting one person and pepper spraying another.
Two of the three men involved have been arrested while the third man is being sought.
In the latest incident, police were called about 1:35 a.m. Wednesday morning to the Pure Passion Adult entertainment nightclub on East Brooke Road.
A security guard reported hearing gunshots and seeing a wounded man across the street from the club.
While investigating, police report that another security guard, Maurice Steele, told officers that he may have shot the victim or another shooter.
Police say Steele admitted he does not have a carry permit and his security license is expired. Investigators say Steele was armed with a Glock and AM-15 rifle.
They also found several shell casings at the scene.

Two other incidents during the past few weeks involving unlicensed security guards at apartment complexes also involved a situation where a security officer punched a pregnant woman and then pepper sprayed her. The woman also reported that he threw her to the ground.
