Springfield police report numerous retail theft arrests privateofficer.com

SPRINGFIELD, PA Sept 13 2017 – Springfield Township Police released their most recent crime report, which includes police activity from Sept. 4 to Sept. 10.
Sept. 4, 8:45 p.m.

Morgan Smith 22, of Woodlyn, was arrested and charged with retail theft after Target security at the mall observed her stealing over $100 worth of baby formula. She was later released.
Sept. 5, 4:55 p.m.

James Nance 31, of Wilmington, Delaware, was observed by Target security at the mall selecting and cutting the security wrap off of two Fit Bit Blaze devices. He concealed the devices on his body and was stopped by police inside the store. He was taken into custody, charged and held for arraignment at Springfield Court.

Sept. 5, 4:30 p.m.
Macy’s security reported the theft of over $700 worth of clothing. A female was observed selecting a large amount of clothing, and she concealed this clothing while inside a fitting room. The female then fled out of the store and left the mall property inside a vehicle. Det. McNeely is investigating.

Sept. 7, 5:55 p.m.
Torrance Smith, 27, of Philadelphia, was arrested after being observed at Victoria’s Secret in the mall taking over $450 worth of clothing and concealing it in a bag. He fled the store and was stopped by mall security. He was charged with retail theft and held for arraignment at Springfield Court.

Sept. 10, 9:28 a.m.

Ian Shultz, 25, of Chester, was arrested and charged with retail theft after being observed at Target in the mall stealing close to $400 worth of Xbox equipment over the course of two days from Sept. 9 to Sept. 10. He was taken into custody and held for arraignment at Springfield Court.
