Allentown PA July 21 2017 A security guard at a Lehigh Valley hospital is facing child porn charges after allegedly showing a video to a co-worker at work.
Fathallah Smaki, of the 100 block of Crest Drive in Whitehall Township, was charged with possession of child pornography, disseminating images depicting child sex acts, and sharing obscene material.
He is free after posting $30,000 bail.
The incident occurred on Christmas Eve at Lehigh Valley Health network's hospital at 17th and Chew streets, and was reported to police on Dec. 29, city police said.
Charges were filed Monday against Smaki and he was arraigned on Tuesday in the case.
Brian Downs, a spokesperson for Lehigh Valley Health Network, said Smaki's last day was Jan. 18.
The co-worker said Smaki showed him a video on his cellphone in the security office, and the video was of a boy being sexually assaulted by a woman.
Police reviewed video surveillance of that day and said it showed Smaki using his cellphone and then giving it to the co-worker.
A LVHN investigator told police that Smaki was "constantly" using his phone at work.
Investigators met with Smaki in Jan. 12, and asked to check his phone for child pornography.
Smaki told investigators his phone was in his car, then excused himself from the conference room and locked himself in a bathroom for five minutes, police said. Smaki then said the phone was in his jacket, and gave it to investigators, police said.

A search of the phone revealed a 3-minute video of child pornography depicting a boy and girl, both estimated to be 5 years old, police said.
