WARRINGTON, PA June 15 2017— A teen who may have been under the influence of a hallucinogenic drug assaulted a security guard at the Central Bucks South High School graduation ceremony Tuesday, according to Warrington Police.
Police released a statement on the matter, saying officers were summoned to the front parking lot of the school during the graduation ceremony because a teenage male from Ambler assaulted a Central Bucks security guard who was trying to break up a fight.
The teen was "swinging punches at other people in the area and was completely out of control," police said.
Multiple Warrington officers who were at the ceremony left to respond to the parking lot. Other working patrol also responded to assist. A medical examiner from Doylestown Hospital was called in to calm the teen down so he could be transported to the hospital.
Police received reports that he may have been under the influence of a hallucinogenic drug.
The investigation is continuing and no charges have been filed yet, police said.
