Man Breaks Into Massapequa Mall After Drinking At Nearby Bar: Police

MASSAPEQUA, NY April 25 2017 - A 21-year-old Bethpage man was arrested for burglarizing a Massapequa mall after drinking at a nearby bar early Sunday morning, according to Nassau Police.
Anthony Fiorello was drinking with unidentified friends at Bar Louie in the Sunrise Mall until about 1 a.m.
After drinking, Fiorello attempted to leave the bar by unlocking a side door which leads into the closed mall, police said.
Once inside the mall, he broke several strollers, two fire alarm boxes and threw a mannequin through an exit door, police said.
Mall security responded to the scene after the fire alarm was set off.
Security saw Fiorello run through the broken door, across the parking lot and into the yards of the surrounding neighborhood, police said.
Officers found him in the backyard of a West Gate Drive home and placed him under arrest, police said.
Fiorello is being charged with third degree burglary, second degree criminal mischief and theft of services, police said.
He will be arraigned on Monday.
