Fort Wayne IN April 14 2017 A Fort Wayne man was arrested Tuesday by the Indiana State Excise Police on charges he impersonated a police officer.
Montrel Davis, 22, was charged with impersonating a public servant after an investigation, a statement from Indiana State Excise police said.
On April 2, excise officers were called to Early Bird's Ultra Lounge, 4201 N. Wells St., about a man who was flashing a badge with the words 'Security Enforcement Officer' on it, the statement said.
At the time, Davis was arrested for an unrelated active warrant for resisting law enforcement, police said.
During the investigation, police were able to determine that Davis worked for a private security company.
A warrant for impersonating a public servant was issued for Davis when police completed their investigation.

Davis was arrested at his home Tuesday afternoon.
