Fort Smith police charge 3 persons with theft, trespassing at Walmart

Fort Smith AR April 21 2017 Fort Smith police were dispatched Monday to Walmart, 2100 N. 62nd St., around 7 p.m. for an attempted shoplifting and criminal trespass complaint that resulted in three arrests and almost $700 in merchandise recovered.
Security officers called police when they saw Tabriss Nicole Jones, 24, of Fort Smith on site. Jones had been previously banned from the store, according to a police report.
When police and security officers approached Jones, they found her attempting to conceal an estimated $472 worth of merchandise with another person, Trystal Jones, 25, of Fort Smith, and an estimated $224 worth of merchandise with another person, Delissa Michelle Powell, 27, of Fort Smith, the police report states.

All three were arrested and booked on suspicion of attempted shoplifting. Tabriss Jones was also booked on suspicion of criminal trespass of an occupied structure and two unrelated warrants confirmed through police dispatch.
