SECAUCUS NJ March 17 2017  -- A Newark man was arrested Saturday after police say he tried stealing more than $1,000 worth of Legos from the local Toys R Us.
Anibal Nieves, 36, was charged with theft for allegedly bypassing the checkout lines at the toy store with over $1,200 in Legos, police said.
Nieves, who was arrested shortly after 5:20 p.m., also had an outstanding warrant from Bloomfield for $250. He was processed and taken to Hudson County jail in Kearny, cops said.
Forty minutes earlier, police responded to Best Buy on the report of suspected fraud. When they arrived, they found Abubakarr Jalloh, 36, of Staten Island had been impersonating someone in an attempt to add cellular telephone lines to an existing account that did not belong to him, police said.

Jalloh was arrested and charged with providing false government documents -- a driver's license -- forgery, and hindering his own apprehension. He was issued a summons, processed and released, cops said.
