Washington DC Feb 10 2017 A recent audit by the officials found that more than fifty percent of licensed security agencies in DC have moved, in some cases multiple times, and never filed notice of a change of address as required.
The Deputy Commissioner office has issued notices to all private security agencies for changing their address without informing the authorities.
Sources said while carrying out physical verification of private security agencies registered with the Administration, it was found that most of them have changed their place of business/addresses without intimating the DC office.
On the basis of the survey report, the DC office has issued notices to all private security agencies to submit the details of their current place of business/addresses, including contact details, on a fresh affidavit to the DC office.

The notice said the penal action as per the provisions of the Chandigarh Administration Private Security Agencies Rules, 2006, and Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, shall be initiated against those who failed to provide the information.
