Bloomfield police charge woman with robbery after punching security officer during theft privateofficer.com

BLOOMFIELD, NJ Feb 4 2017— Bloomfield police charged a Barnegat woman with robbery after she allegedly ripped the wallet out of a victim’s hand and punched a store security guard in the face last month, authorities say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to the store at 19 Belleville Avenue on a report of a theft around 6:10 p.m. on Jan. 10. A victim on the scene told officers that a suspect later identified as Marisa Capabianca, 31, of Barnegat, ripped the wallet out of her hand and tried to flee the store.
During her escape effort, Capabianca allegedly punched a store security guard in the face, police said.
Bloomfield officers located Capabianca inside the store along with her brother, Kyle Capabianca, who allegedly told police that he didn’t know his sister, authorities stated.
Police charged Marisa Capabianca with robbery and Kyle Capabianca with hindering apprehension. Both were held in lieu of bail.
