Sonitrol security company hosts luncheon for area police privateofficer.com

Flint MI Jan 12 2017 A Mid-Michigan security company is taking appreciation for officers a step further.
Sonitrol, out of Grand Blanc Township, hosted a luncheon for area officers, detectives and command staff.
They brought in box lunches from Great Harvest Bread Company.
Officers from Flint PD sat down for a meal with deputies at the Genesee County Sheriff's Department.
The company's vice president, Mike Buckel, says it's the least they can do for those who wear the badge, especially on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
“With the all the negative publicity surrounding police officers, we thought it was a perfect time to get back and we consider them our partner because we are a security company, so we thought it was a good thing to do at the right time and we are glad to be able to do it,” Buckel said.
Sonitrol is a huge supporter of the Flint Police Department.

In fact, in 2015, the department named their K9 officer after the company following multiple donations.
