Fairhaven MI Jan 9 2017 An Anchor Bay High School employee is on leave after being accused of circulating a nude photo of a former student.
The father of a 2016 graduate of the school pictured topless and dressed as “Santa’s little helper” with the caption, “Merry Christmas, pass it along” that was sent on Christmas Day by a school employee is calling for the unidentified employee believed to be a member of the school’s security staff to be fired.
The man made the comments to WDIV-TV (Channel 4) after the issue became public this week. Current students at the school supposedly have received the image on the Snapchat social media site while the guard told the television station the issue is a misunderstanding.
Anchor Bay School District officials have placed the employee on administrative leave while they investigate, the district said in a Friday press release.
“We take this matter very seriously,” the district said. “We’re going to get all the facts, finish the investigation and take the appropriate action.”
On Saturday, the mother of a student at the school, who did not want to be identified, told The Macomb Daily she does not feel the employee should be allowed to continue working around children.

Anchor Bay High School, located on County Line Road in Fair Haven, enrolls students from Chesterfield Township and New Baltimore as well as several rural St. Clair County communities.
