Employee charged with stealing money from Middletown security company privateofficer.com

MIDDLETOWN NY Jan 30 2017 -- A Middletown woman has been charged with several felonies, accused of falsifying business records, stealing money from the local security company she was working for and using a credit card that wasn't hers to buy close to $4,000 worth of goods from amazon.com, Middletown police say.
Danielle Kervella, 25, of Cottage Street, was charged on Jan. 18 with third-degree grand larceny, first-degree identity theft and first-degree falsifying business records, felonies.
From August to December 2016, police say Kervella was the office manager of Prime Security Systems on Fairlawn Avenue in Middletown and falsified expense records on the company computer to conceal that she was stealing money.
In the same time period, Kervella used a victim's credit card to buy $3,968.80 worth of goods from amazon.com without permission, police say.

Kervella was arraigned on Jan. 18, plead not guilty and released without bail, according to court records. She's due back in Middletown city court on March 15.
