Three Texas Security Officers Shot-Attacked

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Dec 24 2016 Two security officers have been shot in Houston and one is listed in critical condition.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s office, two men jumped a security officer around 2:30 a.m. outside a gas station in the 14100 block of Walters Road.
Deputies say that it appears that the security officer was ambushed and he exchanged gunfire with his attackers and was shot at least once.
The security officer obtained non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile another security officer was shot at a hotel just off Interstate 10 during what some are calling a robbery.
The security officer appeared to be in critical condition.
In San Antonio, a hotels security officer came under attack by a man armed with a baseball.
San Antonio Police Department Sgt. Ethan Humble said a 32-year-old man was arguing with a female clerk over a motel key that turned into a physical fight at about 8 p.m. at the Fiesta Inn and Suites, 4934 N.W. Loop 410. “He started kicking out the front door and she feared for her safety and pulled out a baseball bat to defend herself with and he came back at her.”
During their struggle, the man took the bat from the clerk, police said.
That’s when a security officer walked up to the lobby and pepper sprayed the man attempting to make him drop the bat, Humble said. The pepper spray did not work, he said.

Instead, the man began striking the security guard, Humble said.
After several strikes, the security guard pulled out his gun and fired one shot, fatally wounding the man, investigators said.
EMS attempted to revive the man, but pronounced him dead moments later.
The security officer, who police said was in his mid-20s, was being treated in an ambulance for multiple lacerations. EMS had not yet determined what hospital he would be sent to for recovery.
