Shoplifters shoot way out of Colorado Springs Sears store

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Dec 22 2016— Two men shot their way through secure doors to escape after shoplifting from a Sears store on Wednesday night, the Colorado Springs Police Department said.
The men were in the Southgate store when an employee noticed they were shoplifting hundreds of dollars in merchandise.
When a loss prevention personnel member confronted them, one of the suspects displayed a knife and threatened his life, police said.
Staff members had secured the exit to prevent customers from entering because it was near closing time.
The suspects, realizing they couldn’t get out of the store, pulled out guns and shot out the doors to escape. No one was injured.
The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his late teens or early 20’s He is about 5-foot-9 with a thin build. He was wearing a gray stocking cap, black jacket and gray hoodie.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male also in his late teens or early 20’s. He is about 5-foot-5 with a medium build, shaved head and a thin mustache. He was wearing a brown leather jacket and blue jeans.
