Memphis security guard charged with homicide

A Memphis security guard has been arrested in the shooting death of a man during a disturbance that occurred at the O’Cielo Mexican Bar & Grill.
Police said the suspect, David Alexander, 33, was working as a security guard at the club where it happened and there are questions as to whether or not he is licensed according to Tennessee law.
Police said people were shooting toward the bar, and Alexander returned fire. His shots hit two victims, who were not the shooters and one person died.
Alexander has been charged with reckless homicide, aggravated assault and acting as a guard without a license.
Alvin Hart, 43, died on the scene, and the other victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police are still looking for the people who originally fired the first shots and they too may be charged with homicide and other crimes when caught.
Malikah Holliday said she is just thankful to be alive after experiencing what she calls a night from hell. “I saw death... just going to be honest with you. I saw death,” Holliday said.
The Memphis Police Department is asking anyone with information to call police headquarters.
O'Cielo said in a statement:

"We are truly sorry about the lost victim. Ocielo is now more commitment than ever to provide a security and safety for our customers. Ocielo will continue to do business with new policy's to assure we don't have this problem. Memphis our beautiful city pls we ask you to come together and pray and end violence with each other.
