Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputy shoots-kills armed suicidal man at Walmart

Hillsborough County FL Dec 4 2016 According to Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was involved in a shooting outside a Brandon store late Friday.
The deputy was not hurt in the incident, which took place about 9:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Causeway Boulevard near South Gornto Lake Road.
According to deputies, they were contacted by Tampa police to locate a missing man who was reported to be suicidal. Deputies found the missing man's vehicle in the parking lot, and as they approached, they saw the man with a firearm in his hand.
Deputies told him to drop the weapon, but he raised it instead, and one deputy fired.
The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Paul Mebane and he has died from his injuries.
A loaded weapon was recovered at the site, deputies said.
There were three children in the car, ages 4 to 10, but they were not injured. Members of the sheriff's Child Protective Investigation Division will assist the children.
The deputy who fired, Cabot Brown, will be placed on administrative leave during the investigation of the shooting, the sheriff's office said.
