Harris County gameroom security officer held at gunpoint during robbery privateofficer.com

For the third time in as many weeks, a Harris County Texas game room security officers has been injured, killed or hand their weapon taken away during a robbery.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a man and woman posed as customers at the I CafĂ© game room for several hours on Nov. 13.
The game room is located in the 19100 block of West Little York Road.
Investigators said when the game room was closing; a security officer began to escort Jorge Mejia, 31, and Emmaly Harris, 31, out the business.
Mejia then pulled a handgun and attempted to re-enter the business. HCSO said the security guard tried to pull the door close, but Mejia pushed a gun against the guard’s side.
The suspects walked the security officer back to the office area. They told the manager and an attendant to put all the money in a backpack.
Mejia duct taped the security officer and three employee’s hands before leaving the game room.
Police were notified of the robbery and found Harris was waiting in a car in the parking lot. They stopped her vehicle and ordered Mejia to the ground as he approached the car.
Deputies recovered his handgun and the stolen money. A second handgun was found under the driver's seat.
Both have been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
They are being held on $30,000 bond.

Two other games rooms have also been robbed including one at 500 block of Dale Street in north Harris County that sheriff investigators called an illegal business.
In that robbery, a security officer was shot and killed.
