Hackettstown High School student charged with headbutting security officer

Hackettstown NJ Nov 2 2016 A Hackettstown High School student was arrested Friday after police say he struck an administrator with his backpack and head butted a school security guard.
According to police, the 17-year-old student was discussing a prior incident on a school bus. As the school administrator was discussing the issue with the student, he began to curse. The school administrator then turned around and the student struck the administrator in the back of the head with a backpack.
The student then head-butted the school security guard and caused an injury to the guard’s nose.

The 17-year-old was charged with third degree aggravated assault and was released pending a court appearance. His name was not released.
