SPRINGFIELD, Mo. Oct 16 2016 Springfield police responded to a call of shots fired in Bass Pro Shop's parking lot late Saturday night.
Officers found a man and woman seriously hurt.
Lt. Fred Beck could only confirm that one person was shot. He wasn't able to specify if it was the man or woman, only that both were taken to the hospital with serious to life-threatening injuries.
The shooter was found a short time later and is being held in the Greene County jail.
Investigators are working two crime scenes, one closer to the corner of Sunshine and Campbell, the other in the lot closer to the store's main entrance.
The three people involved know each other. The public's safety is not at risk.
The incident is not associated with Bass Pro Shops. Police are working with their security team to pull any surveillance video that could help in the investigation.
