Security guards thwart gun-wielding robber at Gold Coast tavern privateofficer.com

Australia Oct 23 2016 A man is on the run on the Gold Coast, after threatening two security guards with a gun on Saturday morning.
About 3.15am a security guard saw a damaged door at a tavern on Masthead Way in Hope Island and found a man armed with a gun inside.

The armed intruder threatened the male guard and forced him out of the building, before doing the same to a second security guard who had arrived. He then fled the scene in a vehicle heading southbound along Oxley Drive, Runaway Bay.
Police located the vehicle and a shortened firearm a short time later, abandoned on Olsen Avenue in nearby Coombabah.
No one was physically injured and nothing was reported stolen.

The man is described as having a proportionate build, approximately 180cm tall and wearing a balaclava, dark coloured jacket, dark full length pants and dark gloves.
