Pittsburgh security officer shoots driver of vehicle that hit second officer privateofficer.com

Pittsburgh PA Oct 16 2016 A North Side man was shot in the shoulder this afternoon after he hit a security officer with his car in Fineview, Pittsburgh police said.
The driver, 31-year-old Raphael David Caruso, was charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
Police said two security officers on Sandusky Court in the Allegheny Dwellings noticed Mr. Caruso drive into the area shortly before 4:30 p.m. even though he was not permitted to be there.
When the security officers confronted Mr. Caruso, he got back into his car and drove into one of them, police said.
The other security guard opened fire and struck Mr. Caruso as he tried to speed away.
Mr. Caruso and the injured security officer were both taken to Allegheny General Hospital in stable condition.

The security officers, who were not identified, were employed privately by the city Housing Authority.
