According to Emergency Services Director Bradley Kinlaw,
John McClelland Hall, 48 of Bladenboro, became ill while responding to a house
fire in the Carvers Creek Community Saturday.
Kinlaw said Hall had been on bed rest since the incident and
was taken to the hospital Wednesday.
Hall was also the Deputy Fire Chief of Clarkton Fire
Department and was an active firefighter with Bladenboro Fire Department.
In addition to emergency services, Hall was also the Red
Cross representative for Bladen
County .
Visitation will be held at Galeed Baptist
Church Monday, Nov. 12 at
11 a.m.
Following the visitation, a memorial service is scheduled at
Galeed Baptist Church
Monday, Nov 12 at 1 p.m.
Graveside will follow at Hillcrest
Cemetery across from Bladenboro Middle School
on S. Main St.
in Bladenboro.
This is the second firefighter death for the Bladen County
Fire Service family this week. Captain David Tatum, 55, passed away Tuesday
after complaints of feeling ill Monday while responding to a vehicle fire.
