Armed man shot by a MetroLink security faces two felonies www.privateofficer.com

ST. LOUIS COUNTY MO Jan 27 2012 A man who was shot by a MetroLink security guard after pointing a gun at that guard has been charged with two felonies in St. Louis County.

Dominic L. Webb, 29, was charged Wednesday with unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a concealable firearm. Bail is set at $20,000.

At about 4 p.m. Tuesday, a security guard at the Rock Road MetroLink station saw Webb and another man get into a fight on the platform. The officer intervened. Webb pulled a handgun and pointed it at the guard, police say. The guard shot Webb and recovered his handgun.

Webb was critically injured but is expected to survive, police say. Webb lives in the 1600 block of Jett Drive in north St. Louis County.

The Rock Road station is near the 7000 block of St. Charles Rock Road. The guard was uninjured. The guard is an employee of a private company working on a contract basis for Metro.
