OKLAHOMA CITY OK May 29, 2011--A Texas man was in custody Saturday in Oklahoma City in connection with the robbery of a credit union and the attempted robbery of a bank.
No one was hurt in either incident Friday.
The FBI says officers Darryl Rogers, 22, of Austin into custody shortly after the 1 p.m. heist at the Oklahoma Federal Credit Union.
Earlier, agents said, a man walked into the Kirkpatrick Bank about at around 12:45 p.m. and demanded money from the teller.
A security guard confronted the robber, who fled empty handed.
The robber didn’t indicate he had a weapon.
About 15 minutes later, agents allege the same man robbed the credit union and left in a white pickup truck with Texas license plates.
Witnesses saw the truck and called 911.
Rogers hasn't been formally charged.
