ATLANTA GA March 26 2011 - Three security guards accused of allowing thieves to steal copper from a city building are expected to face a judge Wednesday.
They were supposed to watch over a downtown Atlanta building but instead police say they helped to rob it. The incident was caught on surveillance video at the old Atlanta Newspapers building.
Investigators say the guards allowed thieves into the building. Video shows the men taking apart communications wires and stealing valuable copper before driving off.
Investigators identified three security workers suspected of taking part in the crime. Jonathan Tinker, Rhonda Spencer and Vincent Alexander were charged and taken to the Fulton County Jail.
They each face charges of theft by taking.
