Man captured by security breaking into armored car building www.privateofficer.com

Seattle WA March 28 2011 A man was arrested on Saturday night after being caught inside the building housing an armored car company.

Seattle police officials say that two men showed up at the Loomis Fargo building at East Marginal Way and Dawson around 10:45 p.m. to start their shift. When they went inside, they encountered a 26-year-old man in a hallway, holding a knife.

The guards then drew their weapons, detained the man and called 911. Officers arrived soon after and took the suspect into custody.

A K9 unit was brought in to search the building for other suspects. No other people were found in the building.

It is believed that the suspect broke a window to gain entry into the building. He took money from the company’s petty cash drawer, but SPD says that money was recovered after the arrest.

The man was taken to the King County Jail and booked for burglary
