Nightclub scuffle leads to arrest www.privateofficer.com

Augusta GA Dec 27 2010 A man said to be flashing gang signs at Cloud 9 Sports Bar, 3156 Wrightsboro Road, was arrested for obstruction of an officer after he refused to leave the club and pushed the release button on a deputy's weapon, according to an incident report.

About 1:20 a.m. Sunday, the deputy, who was working security at the club, asked Jamal Raphael Holt and others to stop flashing the signs and calling out the former name of an Augusta housing project, but the 21-year-old refused, the report said.

When the deputy tried to pull Holt out of the club, the Jefferson Street resident grabbed him around the waist and "was able to push the release button on the officer's weapon," it said.

He is charged with felony obstruction, and his bond is set at $9,000, according to jail records.
