Lake Mary High School teacher arrested www.privateofficer.com

LAKE MARY, Fla. Sept 14 2010 - A Lake Mary High School language arts teacher is kicked out of the classroom after being accused of assaulting a 17-year old female student. The interaction between 48-year old Marc Dauphinais and the student took place in his classroom last Wednesday morning, according to the arrest report from the Seminole County Sheriffs Office.

The girl immediately told deputy at the school, the principal, and a friend. Investigators interviewed her and Dauphinais and arrested him after school that same day.

The report states that the girl was alone in between classes with Dauphinais when he made some sexually inappropriate comments to her, like, "You look really hot, it gets me excited." Then as she was leaving the girl says the teacher grabbed her butt and squeezed it twice, according to the report.

Dauphinais was charged with simple assault and is out of jail on a $500 bond. The Seminole County School Board will decide his fate this week.

The superintendent will recommend he be suspended without pay. Then at the next meeting in August will recommend he be terminated.

Dauphinais can request a hearing with the full board to refute the charges.
