Police, security nab school burglars www.privateofficer.com

Leon County Fla July 31 2010 At around 2:15am, Leon County Sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary alarm at Lincoln High School located on Trojan Trail.

A school safety officer spotted four people walking in the hallways.

19-year-old Bilal Hatim and 19-year-old Nicole Shelton were arrested on scene and 19-year-old Thurman Smith and 18-year-old Bradley Johnson were later located at their parent's residence.

Deputies say all four admitted to stealing school supplies.

They were not students at the school.

On Friday 07/30/10 at approximately 2:15am, LCSO deputies responded to a burglary alarm at Lincoln High School located at 3838 Trojan Trail. Leon County Schools Safety and Security Officer reported observing four subjects walking in the hallways.

Deputy Jared Lee was the first to arrive and he saw the subjects in building 200. When the subjects observed Deputy Lee they immediately ran in different directions. Other deputies had arrived to assist and two of the subjects, Bilal Hatim and Nicole Shelton were located and arrested on scene. The other two subjects were identified as Thurman Smith and Bradley Johnson. Smith subsequently responded to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and Johnson was later located at his parents residence.

All of the subjects admitted to their involvement in the burglary and that they stole miscellaneous school supplies. These items were recovered.

None of the subjects were students of Lincoln High School.
